Who I Am
I’m someone who really cares about my work and the craft of psychotherapy. Every day I get to see the positive impact my professional contribution has on my client’s lives and their futures. I’m proud to be part of change and growth that touches the lives of many beyond the therapy room.
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist Adv.Dip. (MBACP Accred) and Mindfulness Practitioner with a particular interest in working with Men and Women Millennials and Gen Zs dealing with low self esteem, perfectionist tendencies, comparison anxiety and healing from childhood inter generational trauma. I work with lots of clients who have ADHD and I often work with people who are adult children from dysfunctional families looking to carve out their own path and manage chronic shame. I also work closely with grief in it’s many shapes and circumstances; life transitions and supporting you through your evolution in periods of change and flux.
Prior to setting up private practice I helped people in addiction and recovery within council funded settings. I also spent 5 years working in the charity sector directly supporting and holding space for patients and their families going through cancer treatment and beyond.
I trained as a therapist for many reasons one of them being the transformative and healing experience I had in my own therapy. From this I knew I wanted to help others to change, who felt lost and overwhelmed. To work with people to create more compassion and safety with a deeper understanding and ownership of their life story. With support, change and growth remain possible even in challenging circumstances. Having had lots of therapy myself I understand what it is like to sit in your chair and I bring this awareness to our work. I believe in our right to our own voice, and I’m passionate and curious about why we are the way we are.
